“I use an impermeable surface made out of stone, called stone paper, then I select rocks and place them on top, use a dropped to drip contrasting types of materials, seawater, water based ink, acryl and oil to cover the stone and allow the medium to flow over the stone and onto the surface, then I remove the stone and let time take care of the rest
The Heart to Stone series explores transformations of material, and connections between elements from nature in a simple, sensitive presentation. Ink paintings on stone paper are created in simple gestures where stones and mixed materials are allowed to guide the composition.”
